Jahan's celestial camouflage is inspired by the “auspicious clouds" (xiángyún 祥云) on the robes of Chinese Emperors. These clouds represent the heavens and also "good luck" because the Chinese word for cloud (yún 云) is pronounced similarly to "luck" or "fortune" (yùn 运). The cloud pattern in his camouflage resembles the auspicious shape of the lingzhi "mushroom of immortality”.
